I combine an understanding of critical policy and practice issues relating to Digital Development / Digital Transformation / ICT4D, with strategic critical thinking and a collaborative approach to thought partnership, policy development, network-building, and on-the-ground delivery.
I’ve applied these skills working with NGOs, donors, governments and multi-laterals (including Aptivate, the World Bank, Oxfam, FHI 360, On Our Radar, UNICEF, Practical Action, and the UN Foundation’s Digital Impact Alliance), working around the world from the UK, Kenya, Peru, Brazil, Tanzania, Spain and the US.
My current primary interest is exploring the intersection of Digital Transformation and the #ShiftThePower movement – what opportunities are we missing to harness the changes in power dynamics that digitalisation brings, to support shifting potwe, decolonialisation and locally led development. (I also convene a global online community on this topic, you can signup here if interested)
Other core skills focus around Strategic advice and guidance, Digital development policy, ICT4D implementation (including project management, facilitation and relationship building), and Research.
